What we have done
The project started in June 2008 and was initially designed to guarantee the diagnostics through the sole external support by volunteers of our organisation. From 2017 a Ugandan pathologist has followed the lab staff and the work of APOF has been focused on supporting according to operational needs. The constant focus is to improve the diagnostic accuracy and reduce the response time so as to provide targeted therapies and a better prognosis and quality of life for the patients. The project benefits from the collaboration with different international non profit organisations, such as the INCTR (International Network for Cancer Treatment and Research).
